Long live love

Sweet sensations and surprises on Valentine’s Day

February 14th. The day for those in love. What a shame it has become synonymous with over-crowded restaurants and last-minute presents for so many people. Luckily, it’s different for us. This year, we decided to take the opportunity and go on a romantic holiday. Destination: Cavallino Bianco, a dream come true for families! It is not just our kids’ favourite place. The Cavallino team takes great care of us as parents and as a couple as well. Especially on Valentine’s Day…

Long live love

Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.

The morning started off romantically. After breakfast, we discovered pralines, a romantic aphorism and two mysterious red envelopes in our suite. A Valentine’s greeting, how thoughtful! The Cavallino never fails to surprise us. Curiously, I opened an envelope and found a letter with some empty lines on it. They were supposed to be filled with a handwritten love message. Just like in the old days!

After spending the afternoon with our kids in the pool, we decided to have an evening just the two of us. The Cavallino team had thought of everything. The hotel was romantically decorated, the kids were having fun at the Lino Land and all love birds like us were invited for an aperitif. While listening to the dreamy live music, my husband and I raised glasses to our luck. Almost 15 years and not a cloud in the sky. It was for moments like these that we never lost our deep feelings for each other.

At dinner, I had butterflies in my stomach like I was a teen again. The menu was mouth-watering and the atmosphere was enchanting. Our kiddies were safe at the children’s table and my husband and I could relax and fully enjoy our evening. Five delicious courses and some deep looks later, we exchanged our letters. “Voucher for a couple’s massage,“ I read on mine, ”because you are the best wife and mother and because I love you more than anything.“ Touched and grateful, I could hardly hold back tears. “Thank you, darling, I love you too! So tomorrow’s gonna be another romantic day?“ “Of course.“ My husband smiled. ”At the Cavallino Bianco, every day is Valentine’s day.“
